Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Finance team leader, provides service in receiving and making payments of cash and checks; pays employees' salaries every month; prepares various reports as required;
Duties and Responsibilities
- Checks daily cash receipts and their supporting documents and ensures that daily cash collections are deposited to the bank the next day;
- Pays employees’ salaries every month;
- Prepares the interplant statement of accounts.
- Administers the petty cash as per procedures laid out;
- Keeps a record of various payments and receipts;
- Prepares cash & bank payment vouchers.
- Prepares cheques based on requests approved and forwards to signatories.
- Reconciles the stock ledger with the financial ledger.
- Takes inventory of stock at year-end & whenever required;
- Post goods received notes (GRN) and stock issue voucher (SIV) to the financial ledger.
- Prepares required reports of collections, issuance, balance on hand, and deposits
- Updates and keeps a record of employees;
- Maintains a record of employees’ monthly salary and contracts of employees’ monthly wages on time;
- Follows up on the settlement of payroll deductions, such as income tax, pension, provident fund, etc..
- Prepares other payments of employees’ benefits;
- Raises debit/credit notes wherever applicable;
- Performs other duties as assigned by the team leader;
Educational and Practical Knowledge Required
- BA degree in accounting and finance with 3+ years’ work experience
Knowledge, Skill & Ability
- Basic Computer Skill required
