ABOUT THE JOB
Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite qualified applicants for the Ethiopian Aviation University in the capacity of Adjunct Professor of Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PART TIME INSTRUCTOR
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field with a focus on unmanned systems, earned in residence through a full-time program at an accredited institution.
- Relevant certifications in UAS operation are highly desirable.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
- Practical experience in the UAS industry, including roles in design, operation, or regulatory compliance;
- Experience collaborating with industry partners or governmental agencies on UAS-related projects is desirable.
Possess expertise in:
- Fundamentals of UAS: In-depth knowledge of unmanned aircraft systems, including types, components, and operational principles, Understanding of flight mechanics and aerodynamics as they pertain to UAS;
- UAS Technologies: Familiarity with various UAS technologies, including sensors, communication systems, and navigation methods, Knowledge of software and hardware used in UAS design and operation;
- Regulatory Framework: Expertise in Civil Aviation regulations, international standards, and safety protocols governing UAS operations;
- Applications of UAS: Awareness of diverse applications of UAS across industries such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, public safety, and logistics. Knowledge of emerging trends and innovations in UAS technology.
LANGUAGE
- Knowledge of the ET working language, English, is mandatory.
