Assistant Factory Manager - Garment Factory

Debreberhan City, in Amhara Regional State

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Factory Manager to support the daily operations of our garment factory. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Factory Manager to ensure efficient production processes, maintain quality standards, and enhance workforce productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Oversight: Assist in planning and coordinating production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train factory staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing raw materials and finished goods inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet production needs.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the factory.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality issues, and workforce productivity to the Factory Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of best practices in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the garment industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in production planning and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with quality control methodologies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· The working place for the position is in Debreberhan City, in Amhara Regional State. The applicant must be willing to work in the mentioned City
