Job Summary
Nib Candy Factory is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment, including production machinery, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble machinery to replace defective components and restore optimal functionality.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to a predefined schedule to proactively minimize equipment failures.
- Electrical Systems & Installation:
- Maintain, repair, install, and test electrical systems, including control panels, switchgear, motors, generators, and pumps.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams to perform accurate repairs and new installations.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the national electrical code and strict company safety protocols.
- Technical Leadership & Support:
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting support to swiftly resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues on the production floor.
- Serve as a technical resource, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all production machinery to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Level 5 / Advanced Diploma or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a maintenance role within a food manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory position (e.g., Technical Head, Maintenance Supervisor, Team Lead).
Required Technical Expertise
- Industrial Machines and Motors
- Generators and Pump Installation/Maintenance
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and a proven commitment to safety standards, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in brewery factories.
