GTOG IT Solutions S.C is an emerging tech company delivering innovative ERP, Netwotking and software solutions in Ethiopia. We’re looking for a Senior Odoo Developer to lead the customization and integration of Odoo systems, specially in areas like POS, Accounting and Government tax compliance. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a good understanding of business and accounting workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom odoo modules with high-quality, Scalable code
- customize and extend Odoo’s built-in functionalities, especially POS, Accounting, Inventory, and Sales
- Integrate Odoo POS with external Government Systems i.e. Ethiopia’s Customs and Revenue Authority (ERCA)
- Analyse technical and functional requirements from business teams and translate them into effective solutions
- Develop API integration and ensure secure, realtime data exchange between Odoo and third-party systems.
- Collaborate with funtional teams to ensure alignment between system behavior and business needs
- Provide technical documentation and participate in code reviews and performance optimizations
- Support and mentor junior developers as needed
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 4+ Years of solid experience in Odoo development
- Storng skills in Python, PostgreSQL, and Odoo ORM (Object-Relational Mapping)
- Experience with frontend customization using JavaScript, XML, QWeb, HTML/CSS
- Good understanding of Odoo architecture, deployment, and upgrade process
- Experience integrating Odoo with external APIs
- Familiar with version control tools like Git and deployment platforms such as Odoo.sh or Docker
Business and Domain Knowledge
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and ERP financial workflows
- Familiarity with Ethiopian tax rules and e-invoicing systems is a strong plus
- Previous experience integrating with government platforms
- Ability to understand and map accounting logic into technical implementations
