Job Summary
The Communication Intern will support the organization’s communication and visibility activities across incubation and acceleration programs. The intern will assist in content creation, digital platform management, event communication, and documentation of startup stories and program activities.
This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in communications within a startup and innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing content for social media, website, newsletters, and internal communications.
- Support documentation of startup success stories, events, and program milestones.
- Help manage and update digital platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Telegram, etc.).
- Assist in preparing promotional and visibility materials (flyers, banners, presentations, brochures).
- Support event communication including invitations, agendas, and post-event summaries.
- Help with basic photo and video documentation during events and workshops.
- Monitor social media engagement and compile simple performance reports.
- Provide general administrative support to the communication team when required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final year) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or related field.
- ONLY 0–1 year of experience (internship or volunteer experience is acceptable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms.
