Key Responsibilities
- A clinical nurse takes down the vital signs of the patient and checks for any irregularities, providing proper treatment.
- Always checks and follows that medical equipment in the clinic is clean and ready for clinical use.
- Gives proper attention and treatment for injured/diseased employees and notifies the head of the clinic for further handling if necessary.
- Helps the patient/employee to get ready for tests and other examinations before the doctor handles them.
- Based on the type of wound, performs or assists with minor surgery.
- Participates in occupational health and safety practices across the company, including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Ensures Emergency Response preparedness, including ambulance readiness and participation in drills as per company plans.
- Ensures the availability of emergency drugs and tools.
- Ensures the application of infection prevention practices.
- Responds to control outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics as per national/international protocols.
- Maintains accurate documentation of employee encounters, treatments, and outcomes.
- Stays up to date on national MOH regulations, industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to workplace safety and healthcare.
- Provides health care training.
- Educates employees about workplace safety practices, health promotion strategies, and preventive measures.
- Takes part in the training of first aiders.
- Handles other duties as directed by the line manager.
- May be delegated to perform as a head of clinic in the absence of the clinical head.
Qualification
- Licensed Nurse with a minimum work experience of 2 years.
- Experience in FMCG will be an added advantage.
- Diploma in clinical nursing and above.
