Job Summary
We are seeking a resourceful Business Development Specialist to expand our business, improve our branding initiatives and improving our internal process control. To be successful in this role, one is expected to demonstrate extensive experience in business management/development strategies and marketing. The role of a "Business Development and internal process control Manager" is a hybrid position that combines the growth-focused duties of a Business Development and internal process control Manager with the oversight and risk management functions of a Business Manager. This role is responsible for driving the organization's growth while ensuring operational integrity and compliance. It merges strategic sales and productivity initiatives with robust internal control mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute business growth and market expansion strategies. Conduct research to identify new markets, opportunities, and partnerships. Set and evaluate sales targets, KPIs, and revenue forecasts. Take suitable actions based on performance results.
- Sales & Client Management: Generate leads, cold call, negotiate, and close deals. Build/maintain potential customer relationships; ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Prepare proposals/presentations for senior management and CEO.
- Internal Control & Risk Management: Maintain/improve internal control environment and ensure policy adherence. Oversee on department management authority and accountability execution; prepare management plan, and present reports with operational risks. Work with managers on Risk Control Assessments and monitor control effectiveness.
- Operational Management: Manage allocated budgets for business development; optimize return on investment (ROI). Act as Business Continuity Planning coordinator and Information Security Officer. Ensure contractual compliance (legal, tax, insurance).
- Training & Collaboration: Train and mentor operational staffs and sales teams. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments. Coordinate company processes flows and escalate issues to senior management /CEO.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in business development, strategic management, or internal process control within a manufacturing or agro-industry environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, managing client relations, and implementing internal control systems.
- Experience with contract management, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring is an asset.
- Hands-on experience in marketing strategy, sales leadership, and operational performance evaluation.

- Liaising with Sales, Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
- Assessing and advising on potential joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
