Moyee Coffee Roasting Plc is the first multinational coffee roasting company based in Ethiopia and a pioneer in FairChain coffee. As a fully integrated company—from crop to cup—we handle everything from growing to roasting coffee locally. We export premium roasted coffee to international markets and supply top-tier hotels and leading supermarkets across Ethiopia.
Purpose of the Role
To manage day-to-day café operations, ensure excellent customer service, control costs, lead staff, and drive sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities (Main)
- Overall management of café operations
- Customer service excellence and brand representation
- Staff leadership, scheduling, and performance management
- Sales growth, cost control, and profitability
- Compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company standards
Detailed Responsibilities
Operations & Service
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily café operations
- Ensure high standards of food, beverage quality, and presentation
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards at all times
People Management
- Recruit, train, coach, and supervise café staff
- Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance and discipline
- Conduct performance evaluations and on-the-job training
- Promote teamwork, motivation, and customer-focused culture
Sales & Financial Control
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and closing procedures
- Control food, beverage, and operational costs
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales and operational reports
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, labor law, and company policies
- Implement SOPs and operational guidelines
- Coordinate with suppliers, maintenance, and support functions
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Minimum 6 years café/restaurant experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations
- Leadership, communication, and customer-service skills
- Computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office)
- Experience in coffee business is a strong advantage
