Cargo And Fuel Truck Driver

Job Summary

The Cargo and Fuel Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating cargo trucks and fuel tanker trucks to transport personnel, equipment, materials, and fuel to designated project locations. The role ensures safe transportation operations, proper vehicle maintenance, accurate documentation, and compliance with company safety policies and traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cargo trucks and fuel tanker trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport project personnel, equipment, materials, and fuel to assigned locations.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before operation and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and kept in safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and transportation documents.
• Follow company transportation policies, safety procedures, and traffic regulations.
• Ensure safe handling and transportation of fuel and other materials.
• Support project logistics and transportation activities as assigned.
• Report accidents, incidents, and vehicle-related issues immediately.
• Maintain professional conduct and responsible driving practices at all times.

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum completion of Grade 10 education.
• Must possess a valid Dry-2 and Liquid-1 Driving License or previous Category 4 Driving License.
• Valid authorization to operate cargo trucks and fuel tanker trucks.

Experience

• Minimum of seven (7) years of proven experience driving heavy vehicles, cargo trucks, or fuel tanker trucks.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Good knowledge of heavy vehicle operation and road safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain accurate vehicle and fuel records.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and defensive driving practices.
