Job Description

The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while maintaining strong food hygiene and safety standards. The role requires creativity in food preparation, consistency in taste and presentation, and the ability to work effectively within a healthcare environment. The Chef will support daily meal preparation and ensure nutritional and quality standards are met for staff and institutional needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of local and selected dishes according to menu requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Monitor food stock levels and report shortages when necessary.
• Assist in meal planning and ingredient preparation.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and adapt to institutional dietary needs.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Food Preparation, Hotel Management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to prepare a variety of local dishes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a structured and fast-paced environment.
