Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards and regulations. The role involves both office-based design work and on-site supervision of construction activities.

• First degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Experience

• 0 years & above.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications
• Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections, measurements, and technical assessments
• Ensure projects are executed according to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and material requirements
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising during construction
• Ensure proper documentation of all engineering activities and project records

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D is an advantage)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
