Purpose of the Position
Under the direct supervision of the Senior HR and Admin Officer, the coffee attendant and cleaner is responsible for handling and managing hospitality and related admin activities. This includes supporting admin tasks, office cleaning, coffee & tea serving, and other functions as required by the supervisors and Operations Director.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Always ensure office rooms are clean on time and ready before working hours.
- Ensure the working environment is clean and pleasant.
- Ensure all sanitation supplies are readily available throughout the office.
- Ensure office corridors are clean.
- Ensure cleaning materials are in stock/store.
- Keep office windows, tables, and garbage baskets clean and neat.
- Ensure coffee, tea, and supplies are readily available throughout the office.
- Ensure office supplies related to hospitality are ordered and replenished as deemed necessary.
- Ensure that consumables are replenished on time by liaising with the program assistant and raising store requisitions authorized by a higher-level supervisor.
- Collect and wash tea and coffee cups on time.
- Request and replace all needed cleaning materials and utensils for the kitchen on time.
- Support photocopying and office messenger service.
- Ensure office hospitality requirements are fulfilled (for example, during meetings or special events).
- Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- 8th grade completion.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Experience in hospitality service preferred.
- Strong set of personal values including integrity, honesty, and a desire to be of service.
- Fluency in the working language, including knowledge of the local language, is essential.
