Yimaru Academy is an innovative edtech platform dedicated to helping Ethiopians master spoken English through engaging, video-based courses tailored for Amharic speakers. We’re seeking for Content Developers to build accessible content to empower learners from beginner to advanced levels.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Write video lesson scripts with engaging content.
- Create lesson plans and teacher guides.
- Embed Amharic-to-English linguistic support in vocabulary, grammar, and speaking exercises.
- Use local contexts for relatable content.
- Collaborate with video editors for mobile-optimized, clear, app-friendly scripts.
- Revise scripts to align with feedback and beginner-to-advanced standards.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field or any other field, with expertise in English language teaching or linguistics required.
- Skills:
- Exceptional English writing/editing skills for clear content.
- Knowledge of Amharic language/culture for relevant content.
- Familiarity with beginner-to-advanced English pedagogy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Desirable: Experience with edtech platforms, video scriptwriting, or mobile learning apps.
