Job Summary:
The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering engaging digital content that enhances the organization's brand visibility and communication objectives. The role involves multimedia production, social media management, digital storytelling, photography, videography, and content publishing while ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across digital platforms.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, Film Production, Multimedia Production, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in videography, photography, multimedia production, digital marketing, social media management, or content creation are an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in digital communications, content creation, social media management, multimedia production, or corporate communications.
- Experience in video production, video editing, photography, and digital storytelling is required.
- Experience managing organizational social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns is required.
- Experience in corporate organizations, media houses, creative agencies, development institutions, investment organizations, or public sector institutions is an added advantage.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating multimedia production and digital communication work is required.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong digital storytelling and content creation skills.
- Advanced videography and video editing skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent video editing software.
- Strong photography skills, including composition, lighting, and image editing.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent design tools.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, and audience engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing tools.
- Ability to analyze digital performance metrics and interpret analytics for continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
