Brief Organizational Introduction and Project Overview:
REACH Ethiopia is a nonprofit organization registered as an Ethiopian Residents Charity, dedicated to community development through innovative projects. Since 2013, it has implemented community-based TB care and integrated health service projects in various regions of Ethiopia. Currently, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Regional Health Bureaus, REACH Ethiopia is implementing the USAID-Urban TB LON-II project.
The USAID URBAN TB LON II Project aims to address the urban tuberculosis (TB) challenge in Ethiopia. Focused on the city administrations of Addis Ababa, Shaggar, Harar, and Diredawa, the project's primary goals include:
- Identifying missed TB cases
- Delivering patient-centered care
- Fostering innovative solutions to combat TB
Position Summary: The Driver will provide transportation support to project staff for project-related activities. The Driver maintains project vehicles and logs vehicle use, cleans, and follows up on vehicle service timeframes in conformity with REACH Ethiopia’s Safety and Security Policies.
Essential Functions
- Driving, maintaining, and servicing the project vehicles in keeping with the highest safety standards.
- Ensuring proper long-term and day-to-day maintenance of all vehicles, including checking oil and other fluids, battery, brakes, tires, and other critical equipment.
- Performing pick-ups, deliveries, repairs, and making purchases of office supplies as directed by the supervisor.
- Keeping a log of vehicle use, maintenance, and service.
- Greeting and directing visitors.
- Arranging for the collection and delivery of mail or documents, as directed.
- Other duties as assigned by superiors within the driver’s capacity.

Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- Five years and above work experience, with at least one year of driving experience in Addis Ababa is required.
- NGO experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Computer literate with basic skills and qualifications in motor mechanics are added advantages.
- Proven punctuality and ability to work as part of a team; excellent references are a must.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Display cultural, gender, religion, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
