Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting analytical research on transport development (rail, road, air, maritime, inland waterways, multimodal transport, and road safety)
- Support research on transport models, digitalization, AI, and energy efficiency in transport systems
- Compile, process, and analyze transport-related data across Africa and globally
- Apply econometric and economic modeling approaches where required
- Support implementation of programs and projects related to transport, infrastructure, and economic development
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Section and Division
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (Master’s degree or higher)
- Or enrolled in or completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree
- No prior work experience required
- Field of study must be relevant to the internship area
Languages
- Fluency in English or French (spoken and written) is required
- Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is an advantage
