Economic Affairs Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting analytical research on transport development (rail, road, air, maritime, inland waterways, multimodal transport, and road safety)
• Support research on transport models, digitalization, AI, and energy efficiency in transport systems
• Compile, process, and analyze transport-related data across Africa and globally
• Apply econometric and economic modeling approaches where required
• Support implementation of programs and projects related to transport, infrastructure, and economic development
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Section and Division

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (Master’s degree or higher)
• Or enrolled in or completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree
• No prior work experience required
• Field of study must be relevant to the internship area

Languages

• Fluency in English or French (spoken and written) is required
• Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is an advantage

Internship Conditions

• This internship is unpaid
