Position Purpose:
The EHS Specialist within the Market function is responsible for implementing both local and global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs.
This role ensures that operational controls are in place and compliant with legal and company standards.
The position involves continuous monitoring of daily and planned activities to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, while also supporting EHS reporting and promoting safety awareness across the function.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Compliance & Risk Control
- Understand and apply NTE EHS requirements.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure a safe workplace.
Reporting & Legal Compliance
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly EHS reports.
- Ensure timely submission of legal reports and manage permit renewals.
Training & Development
- Promote a positive safety culture.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, including safety orientations for employees, contractors, and trainees.
Performance Monitoring & Coordination
- Manage the "Safety RoadMap" and track corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure safe working conditions.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure implementation of control measures.
- Support continuous improvement and leadership in safety practices.
Other Duties
- Handle additional tasks and projects as assigned by the EHS Manager
Who Are We Looking For?
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Sciences, or Social Sciences.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar EHS role.
Skills & Knowledge
- Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Familiarity with Collective Labor Agreements, internal regulations, and company safety policies.
