Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite qualified applicants for its Ethiopian New International Airport Project the capacity of Electrical Engineer.
ABOUT THE JOB
POSITION: Electrical Engineer
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BSC in Electrical Engineering field of study with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, experience in Airport is advantageous.
Age – Not more than 50 years old
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Oversee, review and manage the design and implementation of electrical works, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in global electrical standards (NEC, IEC, ICAO) for airport infrastructure.
- Expertise in designing and managing complex airport power distribution networks, including backup systems, UPS, and redundancy measures.
- Experience in the design and implementation of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards.
- Familiarity with the electrical requirements of airport-specific systems such as baggage handling systems (BHS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), and communication systems.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient electrical systems and sustainable design practices, including renewable energy integration.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety codes, fire protection systems, and regulatory compliance for airport environments.
- Proven experience in overseeing the installation and commissioning of electrical systems in large-scale airport projects.
- Ability to address complex electrical issues and provide quick solutions to maintain operational continuity.
- Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in smart grid technology, automation, and control systems used in modern airports.
- Competency in using design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM for electrical system planning and integration.
LANGUAGE
- Knowledge of ET working language English is mandatory.
