Job Description
The ESG Officer is responsible for supporting the integration of environmental, social, and governance principles into the bank’s overall strategy and operations. The role ensures that sustainability practices are embedded in decision-making processes while aligning with regulatory requirements and international ESG standards.
The position plays a key role in strengthening the bank’s commitment to responsible banking, risk management, and long-term sustainable growth.
Qualification
- BA in Environmental Studies, Economics, or related fields
Experience
- Minimum 4 years ESG experience (banking sector preferred)
Job Summary
The role focuses on implementing ESG frameworks and supporting sustainable finance initiatives within the bank.
- Support integration of ESG principles into banking operations and decision-making processes
- Assist in preparing ESG reports in line with regulatory and international standards
- Monitor compliance with environmental and social risk management policies
- Support development and implementation of sustainable finance initiatives and green products
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure ESG considerations are embedded across functions
- Track ESG performance indicators and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Assist in stakeholder communication related to ESG matters
