1. Job Purpose
The IT Officer – Warehousing & Logistics is responsible for managing the Warehouse Management System (WMS), compiling and analyzing operational data, and generating reports for top management. The role ensures data accuracy, identifies discrepancies or manipulations, supports the Audit & Inventory Control Officer, and provides IT support to warehouse and head office operations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. WMS Management & Systems Support
- Manage, operate, and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related logistics systems (ERP, TMS).
- Ensure integration with barcode/RFID scanners, handheld devices, and automation systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to warehouse and head office staff.
- Maintain real-time inventory visibility and data integrity.
- Provide accurate system data and inputs to the Audit & Inventory Control Officer for inventory verification, fraud detection, and operational auditing.
B. Reporting & Analysis
- Compile and generate weekly and monthly WMS/system reports for top management.
- Analyze reports to identify trends, discrepancies, missing data, manipulation attempts, and quality issues.
- Highlight operational inefficiencies, potential risks, and system errors.
- Present actionable insights to management to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Develop dashboards to monitor inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, turnaround times, and other KPIs.
C. IT Infrastructure & Hardware Support
- Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi coverage, and connectivity in warehouses.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware (scanners, handheld devices, printers, workstations, CCTV, etc.).
D. Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
- Follow IT security protocols to protect sensitive warehouse and logistics data.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and data protection regulations.
- Support staff training on IT best practices and security awareness.
E. Process Improvement & Automation Support
- Support digital transformation initiatives and warehouse process automation (RFID, IoT devices, etc.).
- Collaborate with operations to optimize system usage, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
F. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate logs of IT issues, resolutions, system updates, and operational support activities.
- Coordinate with warehouse, head office, and audit teams to ensure smooth system operations.
- Escalate major IT issues to the IT Manager or General Manager.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support or systems management, preferably in warehouse/logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience managing WMS, ERP, or TMS systems.
- Experience in compiling reports, analyzing operational data, and identifying discrepancies or quality issues.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, networks, and system troubleshooting.
