Job Summary
The Junior Auto Mechanic I is responsible for assisting in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company vehicles and automotive equipment. The role is ideal for candidates with foundational technical knowledge who are ready to grow their practical experience in vehicle servicing and mechanical maintenance.
Job Requirement
- Qualification: TVET Level II–V / Diploma in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Trainee Auto Mechanic or in a similar junior mechanical role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
- Support repair and replacement of engine, brake, suspension, and transmission components.
- Use workshop tools and equipment properly and safely.
- Maintain service records and report repair status.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workshop area.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
