Jr. It Auditor

Purpose of the Job:

To appraise and evaluate information system-related activities in order to assist the management of the company in the decision-making process and in addressing information technology-related risks.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Perform technical analysis of systems under development, general controls and application systems using risk assessment techniques.
• Research and document relevant information for each review; develop scope and objectives for review; develop audit program to effectuate the review.
• Perform annual risk assessment of IT processes, systems under development and applications and recommends topics for annual Audit Work Plan. Includes future projects and the direction of the in making the assessment.
• Identify risk factors of automated functions and controls, related manual procedures and general control environment; analyses selected functions, controls, etc., to determine exposures.
• Evaluate key designed controls to determine if they are adequate to achieve control and operational objectives. Develops independent tests to validate that controls are functioning as designed.
• Review and determine compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures in the area being audited.
• Review selected critical technical specifications and/or associated results for systems under development.
• Develop recommendations that are feasible, business-oriented, and address areas for improvement.
• Present audit report to auditee management team.
• Review audit responses to ensure recommendations have been properly responded to and that the response is appropriate to the exposure identified. Works with auditee to achieve effective responses and action plans.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields
• 1 – year relevant experience
