We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier/Accountant to support the daily financial operations of our guest house. In this role, you will handle guest payments, keep accurate financial records, and help ensure everything balances at the end of each day. Your work will play an important part in keeping our operations organized, transparent, and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash and Payment Management
- Process daily cash, credit card, and digital payments.
- Issue accurate invoices and receipts to guests.
- Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
2. Daily Reconciliation
- Reconcile daily sales reports with cash on hand and POS records.
- Verify and balance bank deposits.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
3. Petty Cash Control
- Manage the petty cash fund responsibly.
- Ensure all expenses are authorized and supported by proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate petty cash records.
4. Accounting and Record Keeping
- Record daily sales, expenses, and supplier invoices in the accounting system.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with payroll preparation when required.
5. Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Provide accurate financial summaries to support decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: Entry-level position (no prior experience required).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
