Job Purpose
Support the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program to the Ethiopian Government, particularly through concessional loans from the Korean Government’s Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), for infrastructure projects in Ethiopia.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with national and local level government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders
- Provide key inputs in developing new projects and programs
- Assist in the appraisal, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closure of projects, and provide input to ensure the sustainability of project outcomes
- Support the procurement process, including the selection of consultants and contractors, as well as the disbursement process, and contribute to strengthening the procurement value chain
- Preparing project briefings on all projects to support the stakeholder portfolio reviews
- Participate in conferences, workshops and meetings, representing EDCF and Korea Eximbank
- Organize meetings, conferences, field visits or special events
- Prepare press releases and contribute to official social media accounts
- Perform independent research and report on political, socio-economic and development trends or on other sectors of interest
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications Required
- A minimum of Master’s Degree (in development studies/practice, economics, international relations, finance, business administration, engineering or any other relevant field) is required. Doctor’s degree or equivalent in the related field is preferred
- Excellent command of English, both in writing and speaking
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Over three years of professional experience in the development sector, preferably with an international organization or NGO; experience in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) field is an added advantage
- Proven experience in procurement processes (including selection of consultants and contractors), and/or in monitoring and evaluation of development projects
- Excellent command of French, both in writing and speaking, will be an advantage

Work Hours: 8:00 AM ~ 5:00 PM
Type of Contract: Fixed time
Duration: One Year
Remuneration: Negotiable, based on salary history and organization pay scale
