Laboratory Technician

Main tasks

• Prepare and receive all incoming samples for laboratory testing.
• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests in accordance with approved methods.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, procedures, calibration, and analytical records.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot product or process issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage sample storage and retention in line with laboratory and quality requirements.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and BOPEX initiatives.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable procedures, regulations, and company policies.
• Report any Food & Feed non-conformances in line with Boortmalt food safety standards.
• Perform trials and special tests to support process improvement and innovation.

Master, we are looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality analysis within the food industry, with knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and quality standards, and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in Amharic and English.
