Elmi Olindo Contractors Private Limited Company are currently looking for a dedicated Lawyer who have Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent) with 5 years or above experience. Working place is Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the terms of employment is permanent.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of construction-related contracts, including agreements with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Provide legal advice on construction law, contractual obligations, and risk management strategies.
- Handle disputes, claims, and litigation arising from construction projects, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing construction, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to minimize legal risks.
- Support project teams in legal aspects of project planning, execution, and closeout.
- Keep updated on changes in construction law and related legal developments.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, notices, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into all business activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent).
- Proven experience in construction law or a related legal field.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and high ethical standards.
