EMERGENCY ONG ETS is looking for an Administration Officer for its new project in Shire Hospital, Ethiopia.

Project Objectives

  • General objective: Strengthening the Ethiopian healthcare system by improving the quality of life and resilience to multiple shocks of people with disabilities in Tigray.
  • Specific objective: Ensuring access to high-quality free rehabilitation, basic care, and social inclusion for people with disabilities in Shire, Tigray.

Responsibilities

Logistics Officer supports the Logistician to maintain the facility operational at its best capacity. Responsibilities include:

  • Organisation and Management: Supervise and interact with Team Leaders to ensure proper functioning of services.
  • Support the Logistician: Assist in ensuring quality and high standards of services.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Cross-check with Administration and HR Departments for accurate staff records.

Tasks

  • Constantly supervise and interact with various Team Leaders.
  • Contribute to the recruiting process and monitor hiring needs.
  • Organize onboarding/induction and monitor on-the-job training.
  • Evaluate staff performance and consult with Team Leaders.
  • Monitor preparation of duty rosters to organize workloads.
  • Ensure respect for safety procedures and propose improvements.
  • Hold regular coordination meetings with the Logistic Department.
  • Organize periodical meetings with teams to discuss routines and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in logistics-related subjects or equivalent certificate is preferable.
  • Proven experience in general facility services is a suitable starting point.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating human resources and managing assets.
  • Reactiveness, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Skill in operating a computer and various software packages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and line managers.
  • Ability to arrange activities and coordinate resources.
  • Capability of monitoring resources using relevant indicators.
  • Ability to create customized instruments for monitoring services.
  • Ability to redesign checklists and routines to maximize value.
