Job Specification: Network Technicians (x3 Positions)
We are seeking three qualified and experienced Network Technicians to join our project team on-site.
- Position Title: Network Technician
- Reports To: Project Manager / Site Manager / Team leader
- Location: Remote – Kurmuk – Gold Mine (Accommodation & Transport Provided)
- Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract
The role involves the hands-on installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of a comprehensive network infrastructure, including fiber, wired (Cat5/Cat6), wireless, and radio (P2P/P2MP) systems. On-site, live-environment training will be provided, including for fiber optic splicing.
Key Requirements
- Mandatory Training: Official training in Cisco, Huawei, or Fortinet/FortiGate equipment.
- Mandatory Certification: Valid Working at Heights Certificate.
- Other: Valid Driver’s License.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience: Proven experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet equipment, and a strong working knowledge of wired, wireless, and fiber networking, including basic IP concepts (VLANs, routing, switching).
- Attributes: Must be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors/at heights, a strong problem-solver, and fluent in English.
