Arifpay is the first Payment System Operator (PSO) licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) providing digital payment solutions for Point-of-Sale (POS) system and payment Gateway. By promoting the culture of accepting payments with Android-based Smart and Mobile POS devices, merchants are able to grow their business by reducing the number of steps consumers take to complete their transactions.

Job Summary:
The Ideal candidate for the Odoo Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining the Odoo ERP system to meet the specific needs of our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Odoo's technical and functional aspects, as well as the ability to lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Odoo Development and Customization:
- Develop and customize Odoo modules based on client requirements.
- Create and maintain custom reports, workflows, and business processes.
- Integrate third-party applications and services with Odoo.
Technical Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of Odoo developers.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices to ensure high-quality code and efficient development processes.
- Review and approve code changes and enhancements.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
System Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and reliability of Odoo systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end-users.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document technical specifications, development processes, and user guides.
- Generate regular status reports and updates for management and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Odoo development and customization.
- Proven experience in leading development teams and managing projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and XML.
- Strong knowledge of Odoo’s technical and functional aspects.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Linux, and Git.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Django or Flask is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Odoo certification is a plus.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of business processes in areas such as accounting, inventory, sales, and HR.
