About the Role
ISCOS Emilia-Romagna is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accountant to manage daily financial transactions and ensure the integrity of financial records.
This role offers an opportunity to support a mission-driven organization while maintaining a flexible working schedule.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves handling financial operations and supporting project-related accounting activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through proper bookkeeping
- Review, verify, and process invoices, receipts, and reimbursement claims
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented in compliance with local and donor regulations
- Assist in preparing monthly financial summaries and tracking budgets
- Ensure timely filing of tax documents and compliance with statutory requirements
- Support the Project Manager in all financial aspects of the project
Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ work experience with donor funding
- Experience working with foreign currencies
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
- High level of integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
