East Africa Bottling S.C., a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in Ethiopia, is pleased to invite passionate and qualified candidates to apply for the position of Procurement Specialist, which is based in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will report directly to the Category Manager.
key Purpose Statement
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of goods and services. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies, optimizes supplier relationships, and supports operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and value addition in the supply chain.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement Procurement Strategies
- Execute procurement plans that align with organizational goals, cost targets, and quality standards.
- Ensure sourcing strategies support operational efficiency and sustainability objectives.
- Vendor and Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and manage performance through regular evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements to ensure best value.
- Procurement Process Management
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle — from requisition to delivery.
- Ensure timely purchase of goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Optimize procurement processes to improve turnaround time and cost efficiency.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Manage procurement-related risks, including supplier reliability and market volatility.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Budgeting and Cost Control
- Develop and monitor procurement budgets and forecasts.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or operational needs.
- Track and report on key procurement metrics (spend, savings, supplier performance).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with finance, operations, logistics, and other departments to ensure procurement supports business priorities.
- Support project teams in sourcing and contract management.
- Provide procurement expertise to inform decision-making and business planning
Skills, Experience & Education
- First Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management/ Management/ Accounting or related field of studies.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in both Foreign and Local Procurement.
- Must have a valid minimum Auto driving license.
