Job Purpose
The purpose of the production clerk’s position is to ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing plants. This includes:
- Proper usage of RM/PM
- Managing manufacturing wastes
- Effective use of SAP and WMS applications
- Managing MUVs
This role focuses on maximizing productivity, minimizing wastes, and maintaining high-quality standards through effective control of materials movement.
What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be?
- Safety: Ensure that procedures and practices adhere to Unilever's safety policy and legislation, especially regarding movements of RM/PM/FG and MSDS/DG in HPC lines.
- Workplace Hazards: Full knowledge of workplace hazards; monitor appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment.
- Environment: Lead reduction of costs due to waste and minimize impact on health, safety, and the environment.
- System Activities: Control healthy SAP transactions, ensure clearance of Cogi is done OTIF, and proactively check for RM/PM shortages.
- Collaboration: Work with WH and quality teams to ensure seamless material movement for production.
- Production Planning: Work closely with the planning team to ensure operational reliability targets are met.
- Stock Takes: Lead stock takes on operations behalf.
- Daily Monitoring: Collaborate with production clerks and mixing team leaders to control RM/PM waste.
- MUV Control: Structured MUV control with summaries on a weekly basis.
- Finance Collaboration: Monthly collaboration with the finance team.
- Communication: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and GTM teams to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Degree: Engineering/manufacturing or related science fields with at least 1 year of work experience.
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of RM/PM/GMP/MMP/Financials, line profiles, and process parameters.
Skills
- Understanding: Decent and practical understanding of process parameters, procedures, safety, and quality standards.
- Detailed Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP, RM/PM types, MSDS, and manufacturing performance.
- Waste Management: Very good understanding of managing MUVs and material wastes.
- Supply Chain Finance: Good understanding of supply chain finance.
- Experience: Experience with GMP and standard operating procedures.
- Additional Knowledge: Manex/TPM/UMS knowledge is a plus.
