QA And QC Engineer

Job Summary

The QA & QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with established quality standards, engineering specifications, building codes, client requirements, and contractual obligations. The role involves developing quality assurance procedures, inspecting construction works, monitoring material quality, identifying non-conformities, and maintaining comprehensive quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), or construction quality management is preferred.
• Experience in building construction, infrastructure projects, or related engineering works is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance (QA) plans, procedures, inspection plans, and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, building codes, engineering standards, and client specifications.
• Conduct quality audits of construction activities and subcontractor performance.
• Review material submittals and verify compliance with project specifications.
• Inspect structural, architectural, and MEP works during various stages of construction.
• Coordinate and monitor testing of construction materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, and other materials.
• Review laboratory test reports and verify compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor installation methods to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
• Identify quality non-conformities, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, approvals, and quality documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports for project management and clients.
• Support project handover by preparing quality documentation and final quality certifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and third-party testing agencies to resolve quality issues.
• Provide guidance and training to site personnel on quality standards and quality control procedures.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles in construction.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, construction quality management systems, and engineering codes.
• Understanding of structural, architectural, and MEP construction processes.
• Knowledge of construction material testing and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation.
