Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting, selling, and technically supporting solar energy systems. He/She will bridge the gap between the engineering team and the customer, ensuring every client receives the best solution for their energy needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell solar energy systems, inverters, batteries, and backup solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and assess customer energy requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present them to clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.
- Work closely with the technical team during installation and after-sales service.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, quotations, and customer feedback.
- Participate in tenders, exhibitions, and marketing activities.
- Provide clients with technical explanations and product demonstrations.
- Prepare and deliver detailed sales reports to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in sales or technical sales, preferably in the solar energy or electrical industry.
- Good knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and batteries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to understand client needs and translate them into effective solutions.
- Computer literacy: MS Office, AutoCAD, or PV design tools (an advantage).
- Fluent in Amharic and English (Afaan Oromoo is a plus).
