Job Description

An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company - Ethiopia for the role of Area Sales Manager. East Africa Bottling Share Company (EABSC) works with the world’s most cherished trademark, invests in the most sophisticated production system, and employs people who are prepared to work with passion and focus.

The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is responsible for delivering volume and revenue growth by effectively managing the sales team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Maximizes allocation of resources in the area (e.g., POS, Coolers)
• Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action with the team
• Coaches and leads the sales team
• Executes trade and outlet strategies
• Develops outlet relationships
• Ensures quality management

Sales and Market Share Growth

• Partners with sales reps and customers to develop and execute a customer-specific business plan
• Monitors competitive activities
• Ensures compliance with quality standards and manages trade replacements
• Implements promotional plans
• Reports promotional deviations with store owners/managers
• Executes promotional compliance
• Ensures the execution and implementation of the Picture of Success by channel

Skills, Experience & Education

• First degree in Marketing Management, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in sales and marketing
• Must have a valid minimum Auto/Dry 1 driving license
• Hands-on experience as a sales professional in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
• Proven ability to effectively manage employees
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
