Job Summary
On behalf of our client in the import and export sector we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to manage daily financial operations, ensure accurate posting, and maintain compliance with IFRS standards. The ideal candidate must be experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of handling accounting tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Handle daily posting of transactions and ensure accuracy in the accounting system.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank, cash, and supplier accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage payables, receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist in tax preparation (VAT, withholding, income tax) and ensure timely filings.
- Support external audits with accurate documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist management in financial planning.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in import & export.
- IFRS Certificate is mandatory.
- Strong experience in posting and daily transaction management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, ERP systems is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
