Position Overview
To manage the payable & receivable accounts, employees' payroll, and payment to suppliers by ensuring they are rightfully paid and on time. Performs various duties by standard accounting procedures, under minimal supervision and guidance. Checks and verifies data for completeness and accuracy. Responsible for processing accounts payable. Assists with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cost sheet of imported goods and maintain a file for import documents
- Supervising the monthly and year-end physical count of inventories and cash.
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Preparing employee’s salary tax declaration and pension, filing and processing payments for settling employees’ salary tax & pension liability.
- Preparing monthly Value Added Tax declarations and filing
- Follows procedures to ensure that all invoices are properly authorized and approved before processing payment.
- Ensure that supporting documents are attached and in order.
- Compares the stock record against the physical count of inventory and reports to management if there are any discrepancies.
- Carry out the year-end count of cash, inventory & fixed assets
- Prepare interim financial report for management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; certification preferred, with at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
