Paid Intern - Embedded Systems & Software Development

Employer: PiSpace
Employment: Full-Time | Internship
Place of Work: Addis Ababa (Remote) - Ethiopia
Posted date: 4 days ago
Deadline: April, 20/2025 (2 days left)

About the Role

We're looking for a curious, hands-on intern to dive into the world of C++, Linux, and embedded systems with us. This paid internship is your chance to mess with microcontrollers, design PCBs, and build tech that lives at the heart of hardware. If you're stoked about low-level coding and making things tick in a fast-paced setup, let's roll.

What You'll Do

  • Write and debug C++ code for embedded systems running on Linux OS.
  • Build Linux OS for embedded systems.
  • Play with microcontrollers—think tweaking firmware and making hardware talk.
  • Help design and test PCB layouts for real-world projects.
  • Team up with engineers to solve tricky problems and ship working prototypes.

What We're Looking For

  • You're studying computer science, electrical engineering, or something close—classroom or self-taught, we're good.
  • Experience of C++ and Linux, you've written some code that actually runs.
  • Any clue about embedded systems, microcontrollers, or PCB design.
  • Eager to learn because we'll throw a lot at you, and we want you to catch it.
  • Team player with decent communication no lone wolves here.
  • We need a generalist: We're cooking a lot of stuff, so be ready to juggle.
  • GPA? Degree status? Chill, we care about your skills, not your report card.

Please Don't Apply If

  • You think C++ is just "C with extra steps."
  • You'd rather watch YouTube than debug a crashing system.
  • Hardware scares you, and you're not about to touch a soldering iron.
  • You can't handle a challenge or a solid laugh with the team.

A Note on Applying

  • Don't let AI write your cover letter our AI might trash it. Keep it real, write it yourself.
  • Got the skills and guts? Don't sweat the cover letter too much we're here for what you can do.

Internship Details

  • Duration: 3-6 months—short but packed with action.
  • Pay: Competitive stipend.
  • Hours: Flexible—work around your life.
  • Future Shot: Crush it, and we might talk full-time.

If you're ready to dive in, learn fast, and build tech that matters, let's make it happen!
