Responsibilities
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Develop digital products – as part of your role, you will be required to develop products that are mobile, APIs and microservice driven.
- Dev-ops – you will be required to develop and support various products. Knowledge of dev-ops tooling is a must: git, docker container, Jenkins, Kubernetes
- Create new ideas and demonstrate them in code – Code quality, understanding of the product and be able to create new services that conform to a standardized development framework.
- Work with product managers and external parties in a team – Work with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of a product which includes other developers and product owners.
- Ensure delivery timelines – Ensuring all projects are delivered on timelines that have been agreed upon.
- Making use of agile and scrum frameworks in project delivery- making use of tools like Jira, Confluence etc.
- Developing microservices using sprint, sprint security, Kubernetes and dockers
- Always be hands on delivering the highest quality and fixing of issues both on development and production.
- Innovative, open-minded for working with new technologies.
Planning
- Develop a deep understanding of the Hybrid integration, iPaaS and Cloud solutions and customer pain points
- Capacity planning and modernize core enterprise platforms to ensure we operate below 70% and on N-1 Version

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent At least 1 years’ experience in coding in anon-university setting.
- Experience in Java, spring boot, spring, spring MVC, JEE, MAVEN, spring cloud. Should be conversant in Java. Other programming languages such as C#, Golang will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience with integration technologies such as APIs, web services, and message queues.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture - Ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic microservice based platforms. This will include when and where to use a particular architecture and pattern.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc..)
