Job Requirement
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure effective and efficient delivery of Exams.
To manage Venue Supervisor engagement, relationship and performance.
To co-ordinate and manage any risk or issue resolution, including co-ordination of customer communication directly or through customer services.
To be point of contact for Venues/Venue Supervisors on the day.
This role will be required to work test days which will involve weekend work as part of the contracted hours.
Main Responsibilities
- Play a central role in planning and delivering successful Test Days.
- Coordinate activities in line with BC processes and work closely with Cluster Operations and the Operations Manager.
- Organise resources effectively, often operating at short notice.
- Monitor performance through dashboards and operational tools.
- Deploy engagement plans for Venue Staff.
- Support the selection of suitable venues and supervisors.
- Ensure exam materials are received, handled, and stored securely.
- Set clear performance expectations while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and venue-related issues.
- Resolve concerns where possible and escalate complex matters appropriately.
- Identify complaints, resourcing, logistical, or technical challenges and coordinate solutions.
- Work with the Operations Manager and wider teams to deliver timely resolutions.
- Build strong relationships with Venue Staff and internal colleagues.
- Manage risk and compliance on the ground during Test Days.
- Lead contingency planning and support investigations or compliance activities.
- Follow safeguarding, security, anti-fraud, and corporate risk procedures.
- Provide structured reporting and analysis on operational performance.
- Lead Test Day review meetings and agree corrective actions.
- Manage and prioritise workload across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate colleagues or external partners to deliver tasks to agreed standards and timelines.
Qualification
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience working in a busy operational environment delivering high levels of customer service.
- Ability to ensure compliance, risk and security standards are monitored and maintained.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
Desirable Qualification
- Post-graduate qualification.
- Experience working in Exams.
- Experience in supporting the delivery of computer-based exams.
