Job Summary:
The Trailer Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and supporting efficient delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a trailer truck to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage.
- Handle any road emergencies and report incidents to management as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance driving skills.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Qualifications:
Education:
- 10th grade complete.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Clearance from former employer is mandatory.
