Utility Operator

Main tasks

• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and Safe Work Permit procedures.
• Operate and monitor utility plants (boiler, WWTP, chemical dosing systems) efficiently, safely, and economically.
• Monitor parameters, gauges, chemical, oil, and water levels; record hourly readings and prepare daily reports.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, cleaning, and annual maintenance programs.
• Maintain quality standards in WWTP operations in coordination with QA and SHE teams; report and act on deviations.
• Ensure availability and proper use of chemicals, materials, and spare parts as per specifications.
• Maintain housekeeping, 5S standards, and sustainable practices for water, energy, and waste management.
• Support emergency callouts, shift work (24/7 operation), and perform other duties as assigned.

Master, we are looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing industry with a background from the malting, brewing or similar related industry is preferred.
• The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, safety consciousness, excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, attention to details and strong interpersonal qualities.
• Fluent in Amharic and English.
