Job Description

REALITY REAL ESTATE is one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in Addis Ababa which specializes in building luxury apartments, and commercial and Office buildings.

Job Summary:

The Store Manager is responsible for supervising the receipt, dispatching, and storage of all materials, equipment, and goods in the warehouse. The Store Manager will also oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administrative functions of the store. He/she ensures the maintenance of company assets and performs multitasking effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to maximize profit.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Designs & executes the Store Operation and strategy to meet the company’s objective;
  • Ensures strategic goals of the store are met by maximizing store management and gross profit, reviewing performance, controlling expenses, and managing inventory;
  • Involves in overseeing team performance, expediting the receiving and shipping/dispatch of materials, equipment, and goods at central and overseeing project sites;
  • Provides staff with feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations;
  • Coordinates daily staffing and staffing schedules;
  • Ensures the store complies with outlined safety policies and procedures, as well as local health regulations;
  • Monitors stock and inventory, and performs quality assurance of materials and all goods regularly;
  • Drive stock handling excellence to every aspect of the store, including store appearance, product placement, story layout, and working procedures;
  • Receives fixed and transitory items and properly arranges and store them;
  • Notifies the procurement department of the arrival of imported assets to prevent stockpiling;
  • Converts the purchase document of assets purchased abroad into local currency and verify the local payment receipt;
  • Verifies that the purchased assets match the requested specifications;
  • Maintains an inventory of fixed assets and ensures their safety;
  • Prepares an expense document and hand over the property to the respective department upon invoice approval;
  • Maintains control over the balance of fixed &non-perishable items through stock& bin cards;
  • Conducts regular sample counts to verify the accuracy of the recorded quantities;
  • Compiles current stock reports and statistical information for presentation to the manager;
  • Calculates inventory and examines income and expense documents;
  • Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of subordinate staff;
  • Oversees the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively;
  • Manages all controllable costs to keep operations profitable;
  • Ensures standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
  • Identifies current and future requirements by establishing reports with department people (Electrical and Mechanical) to understand service requirements;
  • Issues the material to the Engineering Department as per requisition authorized by the Head of the Supply Chain Department;
  • Controls inventory stock levels and reordering as necessary within Budget;
  • Checks all invoices for quantity, quality, and rates and maintains records accordingly;
  •  Ensures regular availability of inventory in the store, maintains appropriate level of inventory all the time in the store;
  • Manages all aspects of loss Prevention and adheres to external and internal procedures for theft, inventory management and operations controls;
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records;
  • Ensures that the materials are placed in smaller piles and properly stacked to obtain the physical stock at any time of the day with accuracy;
  • Maintains a safety, secure and clean store environment by developing and publishing evacuation routes; determining and documenting locations of potentially dangerous materials and chemicals;
  • Performs administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of all store operations, including the timely submission of all personnel paperwork, preparing and submitting reports;
  • Performs other tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.

Required: 1

Qualification and Experience:

  • MA/BA Degree in Accounting, materials management, logistics and supply chain management with a minimum of 8/10 years of proven experience respectively in store management in similar industries (construction or real estate)

Competencies:

  • Outstanding, organizational, communication and interpersonal abilities,

  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and asset management,
  • Ability to work independently and effectively supervise a team,
  • Time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills,
  • Proficient in computer skills and store software.
