Role overview This role will provide program management and delivery of interventions under the Education in Emergency Programming. The role will also help set up VSO’s education in emergency projects in various regions within Ethiopia. Skills, qualifications and experience required Bachelor Degree in Education Management, Social studies or similar field preferably with School level teaching experience at the start of career Minimum of five years’ work experience out of which at least three years shall be in INGO, donor environment, with excellent experience of designing and implementation of Education programmes Experience working with IDPs, refugees and other vulnerable populations Demonstrated program management and leadership experience beyond the academic setting in Education interventions, Teacher Development programmes, School improvement programmes, girls education, etc., at regional and Federal level Proven Knowledge and experience of Education quality improvement programmes with a sound programmatic understanding of special needs education, pre-primary, primary education, its equity elements, including in emergency and pastoralist setting Experience working with children in crisis situation directly and in the education in emergency projects and contexts Competencies and Behaviour At VSO we believe progress is only possible by working together.
