Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's daily accounting operations. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements while contributing to efficient financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and journal entries.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of financial records.
- Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations regularly.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Maintain proper filing and organization of accounting documents.
- Assist during internal and external audits by preparing the required financial documents.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions and report any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Finance, or a related field.
Work Experience:
- 0 years and above of relevant accounting experience.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Internship or practical experience in accounting is an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, taxation, and financial record management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of accounting software is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
