Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day accounting operations and data entry
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable activities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and government reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants and auditors during audits
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of proven work experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, Excel)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
