The Administration and Finance Officer is responsible for actively providing administrative and financial support, processing accounting transactions and financial practices, preparing financial reports, performing analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations while supervising and training junior accountants.
Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable and bank statements.
Maintaining and balancing the general ledger.
Recording, verifying, and consolidating financial transactions.
Preparing and recording assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Assisting with internal and external audits.
Preparing and reviewing tax returns.
Developing and recommending accounting policies and procedures.
Investigating accounting irregularities and errors.
Providing financial input and advice to management.
Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting and finance or related discipline from a reputable university.
Experience
Minimum Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues.
Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree Accounting) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to supervise and train junior accountants.
