Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:
- Develop, maintain, and support robust ETL processes using tools such as Microsoft SSIS, ensuring reliability, performance, and error handling in production environments.
- Design and maintain reports and data extracts from Oracle Database and other disparate data sources to support operational and analytical needs.
- Develop high-availability, scalable applications and actively monitor their performance to ensure optimal operation.
- Create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate technical solutions and support rapid innovation.
- Ensure all solutions are deployed and released through controlled processes, with proper versioning, documentation, and rollback plans in place.
- Translate business requirements and complex problems into innovative, scalable technical solutions that are maintainable in productionBudget owned: Functional Budget
- Participate in user research and usability testing to inform development and operational improvements from an end-user perspective.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests, and contribute to ongoing system monitoring, logging, and incident response procedures to ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant field
- Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling)
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
- Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
