Role Summary
Through its collaboration with the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), ACE Advisors seeks to hire a Cloud Engineer to support the EIC Automation System Project, developed in collaboration with the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute. The project is in its final stages, requiring an expert to ensure seamless cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient cloud infrastructure management, optimizing operational efficiencies, and implementing security and scalability best practices.
About Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC)
The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) is an autonomous federal institution, established under Proclamation No. 1180/2020, with the mandate to promote and facilitate both foreign and domestic investment in Ethiopia. It provides a range of promotional services, investor support, and aftercare. The Commission operates under the direct oversight of the Ethiopian Investment Board (EIB), which is chaired by the Prime Minister.
Required Qualification
- Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 8 years (for Bachelor’s) or 6 years (for Master’s) of professional experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in:
- Major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud architectures.
- Cost optimization and security best practices in cloud computing.
Desired Skills
- Technical Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Documentation & Presentation Skills: Proficiency in preparing technical documents (Word & PowerPoint) and excellent presentation capability.
- Team Building Skills: Strong team player with outstanding collaboration and multi-disciplinary teamwork skills.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Amharic, both verbal and written.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and manage relationships, including navigating complex political environments and working with senior management.
